Honeymoons & milestones

A honeymoon planned as carefully as the wedding

Overwater villas, adults-only beaches, Mediterranean sailings and anniversary trips — designed by Jennifer Kanter, Cruise Planners® travel advisor and our romance specialist.

Romance is in the details

The room with the better view. The dinner reservation on the right night. A resort quiet enough to actually rest after months of wedding planning. Jennifer builds honeymoons and anniversary trips around the moments you’ll remember.

She’ll also handle the practical side: timing the trip around your wedding date, passports in your new name, and flights that don’t start your marriage with a red-eye.

Honeymoon ideas we love

  • Overwater villas in Tahiti, Bora Bora and the Maldives
  • Adults-only all-inclusives in Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Mexico
  • Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises
  • European river cruises for a slower pace
  • Anniversary and vow-renewal trips

Honeymoon questions

How far ahead should we plan our honeymoon?

Six to twelve months out gives you the best choice of rooms, especially overwater villas and peak-season Caribbean dates.

Should we book travel in my new name or my current name?

Your airline tickets must match the ID you’ll travel with. Most couples book in the bride’s current name unless the new passport is already in hand. We’ll confirm it before anything is ticketed.

Cruise or resort for a honeymoon?

A resort means one unpacking and total rest. A cruise means a new port most days. Some couples do both — a short sailing followed by a few beach nights.
